Class Update - December 16

 This Week in Review:

• Math: Students are working on their business plan as part of the math project to finalize their multiplication and division unit. Students will keep practicing multiplication and division of whole numbers to consolidate their learning, and will be engaged in hands-on, digital tasks.
• Spanish: Students are completing their Spanish project about sport broadcasting and will be working on reading comprehension tasks. 
• ELAL: Students learned poetry devices and practice the use of figurative language. Next week, we will learn about poetry slam and poetry jams.
• Science: We started the unit about Chemistry, covering matter and the different states of matter.
• Social Studies: We will become anthropologists the critically examine the ways of life of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. 
• Physical Education: We practiced passing, setting, striking and passing back in volleyball. Thank you to Kaitlyn Smiley for her contribution to this unit!
