Class Update - February 7

 The week ahead / Esta semana estamos aprendiendo:

• 🔢 Math: Fractions! We are still working on equivalent fractions.
• 💃 Spanish: Students are completing a table in which they classify the adverbs found in a tale. Then, they will be retelling the tale by writing a summary. 
• 📚 English: We are finalizing the poetry booklet and it is expected that students complete this work by tomorrow February 8.
• 🔬 Science: We are learning about physical and chemical changes, surface tension, crystals, and acids and bases.  
• 🔎 Social Studies: We are critically examining the ways of life of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Students are learning about the way of life of different Indigenous Peoples across Canada.
• 🎨 Art: Students are learning about how Indigenous groups in Canada and South America have used geometrical shapes as part of their culture. They are specifically learning about the Coast Salish basketry and the Wayúu bags. Meanwhile, they are creating their own design, one that they identify as part of their own culture.
• 🧘🏽 Wellness: We learned about grit and perseverance.
