THE WEEK AHEAD / ESTA SEMANA

• 🔢 Math: Practice fractions and decimals (equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, ordering fractions and decimales in a number line, place value). 
• 💃 Spanish: Students are finalizing their tale and continue building their reading skills. Today, student played a game to learn about "diptongos e hiatos". 
• 📚 English: We finish the first round of literacy circles. Student learned about expository writing, the text structure and the language of comparison and contrast. They are now writing a text comparing and contrasting the art of weaving in two Indigenous cultures. 
• 🧪 Science: We started the the Electricity unit. 
• 🍁 Social Studies: We are critically examining the ways of life of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Students are learning about the unique characteristics of the Métis people. Today, we learned about the value of family and community. In the upcoming days, we will be discussing about the importance of storytelling and oral traditions, the Red River Cart and the Sash. 
• 🥌 Physical Education: Students are developing strategies to play curling.
