Yearbook Cover Contest. Last day to submit your drawing is March 17

We will be announcing the winner of the contest by March 24, 2023.

Minecraft Challenge: Grade 5 will be participating in Level Up Calgary! Deadline to submit the challenge is April 10.

Math Contest: Sponsored by Mount Royal University. April 26, 2023.

THE WEEK AHEAD / ESTA SEMANA

• 🔢 Math: Practice fractions and decimals (equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, ordering fractions and decimales in a number line, place value). 
• 💃 Spanish: Students finished "el cuento" and practiced adverbs. 
• 📚 English: We finish the first round of literacy circles. Students completed their compare and contrast writing.  
• 🧪 Science: We started the the Electricity unit. 
• 🍁 Social Studies: We are critically examining the ways of life of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. We learned about Métis traditions and learned about the importance of oral tradition in Indigenous culture. Students also learned how to record stories using pictograms. 
• 🥌 Physical Education: Students were developing strategies to play curling.
